Meet Jaspreet
Jaspreet Kaur, a beautician passionate about making her clients feel and look their best, opened a one-of-a-kind service for the Roxburgh Village community.
The friendliness and support of her customers fill Jaspreet with joy and inspire her. “You can see when people love what’s been achieved for them, we really have the best customers”.
Meet Sam
Sam opened Roxy Seafood in 2018, choosing Roxburgh Village as the location because it’s fin-tastic. “It’s easy to communicate with my customers here. They speak my language – Kurdish, Arabic and Assyrian.”
Meet Thi
Thi thinks there is nothing better than talking to her customers and seeing them happy. For the last three years, Thi and her staff have been offering clients spa pedicures, hair removal and SNS and Acrylic nails.
Meet Monica
Bring the heart to the home at Better Home. Monica feels humbled to be able to help people style their homes and provide products for them to create their dream spaces.
“Building strong relationships with my customers means everything to me” says Monica. “I’m so lucky to have such nice customers that, over time, I have developed relationships with. This is so helpful to understand what their home needs and what products they’re seeking” she says.
Meet Dr Beth
Local dentist Beth gets a lot of joy from interacting with patients in the tight-knit Roxburgh Village community, and often looks after entire families through the generations at uSmile Dental Centre.
“We treat families from the grandparents to grandchildren,” she says. “It is satisfying to see kids grow up and still love to go to the dentist. People here are very friendly.”
Meet Sam
When it comes to creating Turkish delicacies, few are more dedicated to the task than Recep, who recently opened his store, Simit Sarayi, at Roxburgh Village.
One of the reasons that Recep chose to open in Roxburgh Park is also one of the reasons he loves his job: because it’s home to a strong middle-eastern community with a deep fondness for traditional pastries and sweets.
“What I love about the customers and locals that visit Melbourne Simit Sarayi is that they are able to resonate with the feeling of being in Turkey as soon as they enter our store,” says Recep.
Meet Nada
To Nada, making people’s dreams come true is a dream come true.
Nada owns Maple Real Estate. She prides herself on her kind and honest approach to real estate and on her ability to make the experience of buying and selling homes a memorable one.
“I love meeting new people every day and making their home buying dreams come true.”
Meet Nawzad
For 20 years now, Nawzad and his team have been proudly operating Green Apple fruit and vegetable store at Roxburgh Village. Over that time, he’s watched the centre grow and evolve into the thriving hub that it is now.
“The centre is all about convenience. You can easily find what you’re after.”
Meet Rudolph
Rudolph dreamed of running his own business for six years before he made the leap. In December 2011, he finally left his job at a diecast factory and took ownership of beloved Roxburgh Village fixture Philmart.
“It keeps me moving and allows me to interact with people from different backgrounds.”
